If we considered the original Dodge Challenger to be quite big, then what the fuck do we call the new one?
![]() 05/21/2015 at 14:31 |

A glorified family car with functionality removed that was obsolete before it was even released?
![]() 05/21/2015 at 14:32 |

Big.
Remember, size is all relative.

Cars have inflation like money gas used to be $0.25 a gallon now HUSSEIN OBUMER has it up to $4.00 a gallon for premium. Benghazi.

We never considered the old Challenger to be quite big.

Cars are too large these days.

Space Shuttle.

I would still take one over the Camaro and Mustang because:
A) It’s a lot more comfortable
B) That Hemi sounds lovely
C) It has a simple muscle car design, it doesn’t screw around with creases and swoops and shit.

The roof of the old one is level with the bottom of the window on the new one.

Standard Big.

And? With progression of safety requirements and interior comfort, as well as people just getting larger in general, of course there’s going to be growth of a model over the years. The current Challenger is a big car. The old Challenger, compared to other things on the road, was a big car. Comparing them now, the old Challenger is smaller and the new Challenger is bigger.

We call it a goddamn Challenger
The original Challenger was designed to be larger and more upscale than its pony counterparts; the same goes for the new one.

“Now with 100% more crash safety regulations”?
Although the same question could be asked of all the 60s pony car nameplates that are still in use today...

You forgot one :)

I’d take the Camaro because:
A) Subjective. I find most Dodges uncomfortable. Then again, never sat in this particular one, so not going to judge.
B) That 6.2 sounds lovely
C) Too simple. it looks downright bland. I think it’s the fact that they tried to stretch classic styling over a much larger body without adding any more features to fill the vast wasteland.

When it came out, it was bigger than it’s 2 rivals:

Also,
Large with unlimited refills.

I’ve always found Dodge’s to be uncomfortable but the Challenger is really comfy inside. The 6.2 in the Camaro does sound beautiful.
Also, I drive an ‘03 Yukon and a ‘13 Jetta so as you can see I’m a very simple and boring person haha. Almost every panel on both of them is completely smooth.

Free refills?
![]() 05/21/2015 at 14:54 |

This is not new.
![]() 05/21/2015 at 14:55 |

If you changed that to an 03 Jetta and a 13 Yukon, and lost the 15 Escalade avatar, I might believe that you were simple and boring. :)
Disagreement makes the world more interesting, anyway.

So you also hate the 6 series/S class coupe/A5/RC, etc.?
![]() 05/21/2015 at 15:00 |

No, just unlimited. As in you will have to refill it many, many times.

Those weren’t obsolete decades before they were released, but yeah, I kind of do. I have weird taste. Or good taste when you consider that the Lexus is, well, a Lexus, the A5’s a VW, and the 6 series and S class may as well have all of their doors.
![]() 05/21/2015 at 15:22 |

There is something to like about a large 2+2 powerful ‘murican GT. The A5 is on a Audi chassis, its not like its an A3 …. and when I get old & fragile I want something like the S-Class coupe.
Not everything can be a MR2.

I was in the same boat, until I test drove a 2015 SRT. Unholy soft and mushy. Much sad.

The thought of owning an 03 Jetta scares me a little bit.. Keep the 13 Yukon to because that has a face only a mother could love:
I do love the 2015 Escalade though, I think it’s a work of art.
I do love disagreement as well haha makes life more interesting.
![]() 05/21/2015 at 16:43 |

It’s more of a grand tourer than a pony car, probably why I love it so much.

That ass on the new one though! The new one has nice hips on it.
![]() 05/21/2015 at 16:57 |

Rekt.
That’s a term that kids these days are using, right?
![]() 05/21/2015 at 17:11 |

Yea, a little too soft for me though. After test driving that and the FR-s the FR-s was perfect in handling and stiffness and the SRT was perfect for looks/ power... The FR-s won.

Ew, Jetta! Ew, ew,ew!

Fat? It probably handles a lot better and is fairly good car in many ways but when compared to the original it looks pretty ridiculous. It would be a quite different car if they had retained all exterior dimensions of the old model.
And good luck keeping it running when it is 45 years old...

I just couldn't believe how much bigger the new one actually is.

Large-huge. The new one is most certainly large-huge.

perfect?!?
